Solar Power Plant Project in Samarkand Region, Uzbekistan
General Project Information:
The project involves the construction of a 500 MW AC solar photovoltaic (PV) power plant, a 500 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), a power transmission line and associated infrastructure.
The project is one of the first major renewable energy projects in Uzbekistan to incorporate a large-scale BESS and contributes to the sustainable development of the country's energy system.

Scope of Work:
The project included specialized electrical installation works at the 35/220 kV substation, including additional works on the 220 kV outdoor switchyard circuit breakers and works on the substation's secondary systems.
Additional Works on 220 kV Outdoor Switchyard Equipment:
- Additional electrical installation works on the 220 kV outdoor switchyard circuit breakers;
- Connection and verification of the circuit breakers' electrical circuits;
- Verification of the completed connections and interaction of the equipment with the control and protection circuits.
Substation Secondary Systems:
- Works on the secondary circuits of the 35/220 kV substation equipment;
- Connection and verification of control, signaling and interlocking circuits;
- Works on relay protection and automation circuits;
- Verification of electrical connections and functional interaction of the secondary systems.
Testing and Verification:
- Verification of completed electrical connections;
- Functional testing of control, protection, signaling and interlocking circuits;
- Verification of the completed systems' readiness for operation.
