Solar Power Plant in the Jizzakh Region, Uzbekistan
General Project Information:
The solar power plant in the Jizzakh Region is a 220 MW photovoltaic (PV) power plant located in the Gallaorol District, approximately 25 km from the city of Jizzakh. The plant covers an area of approximately 562 hectares and is connected to the national power grid through a 14.7 km, 220 kV overhead transmission line.
The project contributes to increasing clean energy generation capacity and provides additional power capacity to support the development of industrial, urban, and social infrastructure in the region.

Scope of Work:
As part of the project, supply, construction, installation, testing, and commissioning works were carried out for the 220 kV overhead transmission line, together with specialized works for the installation of bird protection markers and aviation warning spheres.
Equipment and Material Supply:
- Supply of steel towers and structural components for the overhead transmission line;
- Supply of conductors, insulators, and line fittings;
- Supply of materials and components required for the construction and installation of the 220 kV overhead transmission line.
Construction and Installation Works:
- Preparatory works along the transmission line route;
- Earthworks and construction of tower foundations;
- Assembly and erection of steel towers;
- Installation of insulators and line fittings;
- Stringing, installation, and tensioning of conductors;
- Completion of electrical connections and tower grounding;
- Completion of installation works and preparation of the line for testing.
Bird Protection and Aviation Warning Spheres:
- Installation of 1,421 reflective bird protection markers on the 220 kV overhead transmission line;
- Installation of aviation warning spheres on the overhead transmission line;
- Verification of the positioning, orientation, and secure fastening of the installed devices.
Testing and Commissioning:
- Quality inspection of completed construction and installation works;
- Verification of electrical connections and the grounding system;
- Performance of the required tests and inspections of the 220 kV overhead transmission line;
- Rectification of identified deficiencies;
- Preparation of the line for commissioning and handover to the client.
