Railway from Bereket Station to Etrek Station, Turkmenistan
General Project Information:
The Bereket — Etrek railway section forms part of the Kazakhstan — Turkmenistan — Iran international transport corridor and provides a railway connection towards the Turkmen-Iranian border.
The project involves the development of the engineering infrastructure of the 256 km railway section, including signaling, telecommunications, and electrification systems to ensure safe and reliable train traffic control.

Scope of Work:
As part of the project, comprehensive works were carried out for the design, construction, installation, and commissioning of railway signaling, telecommunications, and power supply systems along the 256.2 km Bereket–Etrek railway section, including the construction of a 30 km, 110 kV overhead transmission line and two 110/10 kV transformer substations.
Railway Signaling Systems:
- Implementation of the Ebilock 950 electrical interlocking system;
- Implementation of the interface system with the control center in Ashgabat and the ALSN system;
- Equipping 8 stations with signaling systems;
- Equipping 12 interstation sections with the relevant systems and field equipment;
- Installation, testing, and commissioning works.
Telecommunication Systems:
- Construction and commissioning of 23 GSM-R towers;
- Installation of fiber-optic communication lines;
- Implementation of the SDH communication system;
- Implementation of dispatch communication systems;
- Implementation of public address systems;
- Implementation of video conferencing systems.
Power Supply Systems:
- Construction of a 30 km, 110 kV overhead transmission line;
- Construction of two 110/10 kV transformer substations;
- Electrical installation works;
- Connection and commissioning of power supply system equipment.
Design and Infrastructure Construction:
- Design and execution of construction and installation works;
- Design and construction of communication and power supply facilities;
- Construction of associated service and technical facilities.
Testing and Commissioning:
- Functional testing of signaling systems;
- Verification of telecommunication systems;
- Testing of power supply equipment;
- Comprehensive commissioning works;
- Preparation of the systems for operation.
